Crossword had initially started off as a Book Shop has now expanded to become a toy/kid shop too. They do have other knick knacks too like T shirts with characters like spider man, ben10 etc.
I have always shopped there for books to give as gifts for kids. You need to search through all the books but I have always found books suitable to different age groups. It is my 'go too' shop when I want to buy books for kids. Nowadays kids get lot of toys and when we are invited for bday party we do not know which toys they have and which they like. So I usually play it safe and go for books. Don't pick up the books which are being sold aggressively by them. You need to take time to go to the specific section and search through the books. You will always find something different in their collection. I do not buy toys there unless necessary but they do have a wide collection of branded toys.
