Living in the metro leaves us with very few options to get close to nature luckily we have one such zoo in the heart of the city Rani Baug.Being one of the oldest zoos in Mumbai the overall look is quite average but at the end of the day what really matters is atleast we get one option for our lil ones within our reach. There is a big hickory dickory clock aright at the entrance which will catch ur attention. The gardens surrounding the zoo have many flower plants, herb plants and some huge trees which makes the walk in the zoo pleasant.

The zoo houses many rare and endangered species of animals. You are not allowed to carry any foodstuff inside or feed birds and animals. We saw spotted deers, lioness, hippos, hyenas, black bear, crocodiles and some snakes. There was one corner which had two giant elephants tied up which was one of the attractions for my baby. Also one interesting part was the section of the birds where there were beautiful flamingos, peacocks to name a few. The zoo does not have many animals but a visit once will do no harm it can be a small picnic which will make ur child happy anyway cuz all kids love animals.
