So, this way I had reduced my Stretch Marks

Pregnancy, a journey towards motherhood, gives not only a bundle of joy and excitement but it also gives you few discomforts, pain, and marks. Yes, the marks, which are going to stay with you all throughout your life. These stretch marks narrate the story of your journey from being a woman to become a mother of a little angel.

Like everyone, I was also happy, excited and nervous too, when I saw those two pink lines. I was wondering will I be able to manage all this pregnancy phase as it accompanies with several pain and discomforts. But my days were passing by happily and that too without any typical pregnancy symptoms, however, by the time I crossed my 1st trimester, I started feeling some unusual itching on my body. With the growing uterus, I could see some stretch lines on my thighs. I got really worried, as I was really upset to see those ugly stretch marks.

Fortunately, I discussed the same with a friend, who had delivered the baby the previous year. She suggested me to apply some stretch mark creams and lotion which are widely available in the market. At the same time, she also informed me that this all normal and this stretch marks cannot be removed completely, but they can be lightened. After listening to her, I was happy to know that there is a solution to at least lighten this stretch mark. I started doing my research on this topic over the Internet. I found out that healthy and nutritious food, drinking of sufficient fresh water in a day, and exercising suitable for pregnancy are some of the good ways to prevent stretch marks. However, in addition to all of these, a good quality toxin-free stretch mark cream is also essential to prevent these marks. It not only helps with stretch marks but also keeps your body moisturized and nourished. If these creams are applied regularly, then a notable change can be observed.

Now, the question which was running in my mind was – Which toxin-free stretch mark cream should I use? So, after exploring several products under this range I found The Moms Co brand. The name of this brand was completely new to my ears, but when I explored their range of products deeply, I was totally impressed. This brand claims their products to be Australian Certified Toxin-Free and are absolutely safe to use even after the pregnancy and contains some good essential oils like Jojoba Oil, Wheatgerm oil, Sea buckthorn oil and many other, which helps in keeping those stretch marks at check.

I thought why shouldn’t I give a try because the claims are really impressive and how far my knowledge goes, none of the other brands serve this range of mother care products being 100% natural. Therefore, I quickly added their ‘Stretch Marks Bundle pack’ and ‘Natural soothing Relief Wash’. The quantity and size were sufficient enough to use. Nevertheless, I found both of these products good and effective in treating my itching problem (although, it was common in pregnancy) and in reducing my stretch marks.

So, now it is already been 2 years of my delivery and whenever I see myself into the mirror, I feel good that I took a wise decision to choose these products from The Moms Co.

Suggested Diet during my Pregnancy

I am sharing my experience during my Pregnancy. It is one of the most beautiful experiences in a woman's life. Pregnant women enjoy it when the belly grows, when they overflow with mother happiness or when their unborn child moves for the first time. You can finally eat as much as you want without paying attention to the slimline.

Diet during pregnancy plays a crucial role. If you are pregnant, you should pay attention to what and how much you eat. A diet, in the sense of a strong weight loss, you should avoid at all costs. Because the unborn child, as well as the mother, must be sufficiently supplied with nutrients and only succeed if you eat enough. A weight gain of about 15kgs is completely normal during pregnancy. However, you should not increase much more, because otherwise gestational diabetes or high blood pressure can be the result.

My Doctor recommended me this diet:

My doctor asked me to eat healthy diet so that my body get stamina for delivery. Below are few things that my doctor say me to intake on regular basis:

• Bread, other cereals and potatoes. These foods should represent 70% of your diet. Whenever possible, choose whole-grain varieties of these products because they contain more fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

• Fruits and vegetables. They include fresh, frozen and canned varieties, green salads, beans and lentils, nuts and fruit juice. Take at least five servings a day of fruits and vegetables (remember, take the amount you take, the fruit juice only counts as one serving).

• Meats, fish and alternative foods (including eggs, nuts, and legumes). All of them are a source of proteins, vitamins, and minerals.

• Milk and fresh dairy products. They will provide calcium and protein, so you should try to take two or three servings a day. Of course, choose the low-calorie versions of these products.

• Foods that contain fats and sugar. You should keep the consumption of this type of food to a minimum. A small, casual luxury, like taking a couple of chocolates, in the context of a healthy diet will not hurt you (not your son).

• Protein reach food like meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and beans

• Whole grains food

Eat Especially spinach, lettuce, and green leafy vegetables, as these foods contain folic acid. Miscarriages and damage to the child can reduce expectant mothers with it. Fast food and sweets should be deleted from their diet because these things make you fat at any given time. And if you can not resist, you do sports. Because pregnancy is not a disease and exercise is good for your body and thus for your baby. Ultimately, it is most important that your baby is optimally cared for. Do not think about losing weight, but enjoy the pregnancy.

And the best mantra is to stay happy and hydrated.

How to prevent stretch marks during Pregnancy?

Stretch marks during and after pregnancy are very common. Though they are not painful but still none of us wish to have on our skin. Isn’t it?
It becomes very difficult to get rid of stretch marks. So, isn’t that better to prevent them from developing rather than taking steps afterwards to get rid of it. Ben Franklin rightly said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

My pregnancy journey was all smooth and joyful. I was fortunate enough that stretch marks never became a part of my pregnancy ride. Yes, I didn’t had stretch marks during and after pregnancy. Let me tell you what all I did due to which stretch marks never developed on my skin during and after pregnancy.

Effective tips to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy

1) Healthy and Balanced Diet

Stretch marks happens due to rapid weight gain. Of course you cannot control your weight gain once you are pregnant but you can work to keep it within healthy limits. I strictly followed healthy and balanced diet during my pregnancy. I used to have at least 4 servings of vegetables and fruits in a day.

To avoid stretch marks, expecting moms need to include Vitamin C in their diet. Take in citrus fruits like lemon and oranges as they are good source of Vitamin C. Also, eat food rich in zinc such as nuts and fish, may help keep your skin healthy. Have an exposure of the sun which is a source of Vitamin D. Some study reveals that maintaining healthy levels of vitamin D may reduce your risk of stretch marks.

2) Apply a Stretch Mark Prevention Cream Or Oil

The best tip to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy is to apply a Stretch Mark Prevention Cream or Oil. I know it is very difficult to choose skin care range for expecting moms as there are so many options available these days. One of the best stretch mark prevention cream and oil is of The Moms Co. I started using The Moms Co Natural Body Butter and Natural Stretch oil during my second trimester. I used them after my pregnancy too.

I used to apply The Moms Co Natural Stretch oil twice a day on my belly, hips and breasts. It is a non-greasy toxin-free combination of 7 powerful oils like Seabuckthorn, Rosehip, Almond, Jojoba, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and natural Vitamin E that deeply nourish itchy, stretching belly, breasts and hips. Most importantly it doesn’t contain mineral oil, parabens and sulphates. And I used to apply The Moms Co Body Butter at night before sleeping. It is again a toxin-free rich combination of cocoa and shea butter with moisturizing oils that increase skin’s natural elasticity, providing comfort to stretching belly, hips and breasts.

Both the products The Moms Co Natural Body Butter and Natural Stretch oil have done wonders to my skin and stretch marks never formed during and after pregnancy. Do try expecting and new moms their range 😀

3) Stay Hydrated

The best mantra for smooth pregnancy is to stay hydrated and happy. Drink plenty of water. I used to have 7-8 glasses of water every day during my pregnancy which kept me away from stretch marks.

So, these were the tips to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Hope you will find it useful.
