Most mothers tend to introduce figure food to their little ones around 9 – 12months of age. Some easy ways to make your little ones try these new figure foods easily, here are a few hacks:
Severe small portions and keep it simple
Start with introducing 1-2 foods at a time. Make sure to do not severe too much food at once as the baby might get overwhelmed with that.
Keep a suitable consistency and size
Make sure the food that you serve is soft enough for your baby to eat as well as adequate in size to fit in their mouth. Try keeping the food about 1-2 inches, not more. cutting foods into the small piece will help your baby grasp the food well and also encourage them to eat.
Help your baby with his/her grip
Coating a smooth textured food in a crushed cracker or cutting the food with a crinkle cutter that gives it a rough texture can help them grip their food better.

THE BOTTLE BATTLE STORY: 🍼
As mothers, lactating or not we’ve all had our own battles with our kids being glued to milk bottles like it’s a gift sent from heaven for them, isn’t it? 🙈
Arhaan was 14 months old when he left feeding, after which I started giving him milk in a glass. But motherhood ain’t that easy, right!?
He refused to drink it in a glass everytime, after which I surrendered & gave him a milk bottle and he drank it, like a little party going on in his tummy. Till date I sometimes regret of not trying harder with the glass habit, as people say that bottles may cause tooth decay and may lead to infections, but it seemed so convenient when he drank from it so easily, that I just didn’t push myself enough.
But after 4-5 months, one day out of nowhere I just gave him a glass of milk and after trying for 3-4 times, he drank it on his own & from then onwards he never even touched the bottle!!
All you ladies out there, what we do is very difficult as mothers but a little push and not giving up easily takes us a long way further and makes us proud as MOTHERS❤️
Since summer is setting in, most of the kids go through appetite loss and as usual we moms worry, and this ultimately leads into a struggle where a child refuses his meal and we keep bribing, begging etc to get him/her to take that morsel
But as Ellyn Satter has said "I is your job to decided what, when and where to feed your child and it's their job to decide how much to eat or whether to eat what you provide".Keep following this mantra and plate the food gorgeously so that they are tempted to atleast taste the food
