#Importance of colostrum

When to start feeding?

Feeding should be started immediately after birth when the baby and mother are ready. When the baby is put on mothers chest immediately after birth, baby tries to reach the breast and suck .This is called as breast crawl.

What should we do with first milk?

The first milk secreted from mothers breast is thick yellow in colour and is called as" colostrum". Colostrum is called as liquid gold . It's the first natural vaccination to your baby. It prevents infections and builds immunity.Colostrum is rich in proteins, fat, vitamins and minerals. It helps in preventing newborn jaundice.

Should we give anything to baby before starting breast feeding?

No, baby should not be fed with anything. Avoid giving honey, water dipped in gold, glucose water , plain water and other non human milk. This can cause infections in the baby.

Good news: All babies develop on their own timelines and pace!

.

The first SMILE, the first STEP , the first WORD- are Big goals!

.

Take a TOUR on the entire Baby Year with my series #babyaffaire

.

Zeeva's 1st month milestones -
- Recognise voice- Zeeva started recognising my voice and Kuldeep's too (As I have been talking to her in the womb - ardently followed Garbha Sanskar). She reacted to noise too.

.

- Vision- Her vision was developing. Could see objects or faces as close to 8-12 inches. Could see my face while feeding sessions.

.

- Smile- I still remember her smiling during her entire photo session, and those cute smiles while feeding.

.

- Stare- Yaas! The cute stares filled with so much love and innocence

.

- Respond- She used to respond in her own cute ways (will soon post pictures and videos of her responding)

.

- Holding head - I remember Zeeva used to do so especially during her burp sessions)

.

- Tight fists - Zeeva used to keep her hands in tight fists

.

Did I miss anything, do share your thoughts ❤️
