We love to throw parties for our kids. Every year we anticipate what the theme should be and prepare for it with great love and enthusiasm.

But every party also creates a lot of plastic waste. While we hope and wish for a long life for our kids, the pollution is threatening their health and wellbeing. Let’s start with giving them an all-natural birthday party every year. Do away with disposable glasses, plates, spoons etc. Serve water from a dispenser. And use only natural material decorations.

Have a party which is fun for you, your kids and for Mother Nature too !

It all begins right at the beginning. Arrival of a new baby brings many anxieties and the market seems to have a product for every thing but actually not everything is needed or is beneficial for the child.

Pause for a moment and consider reducing the wastage as you bring up your child. They don’t need so many things. Keep them free of single-use plastics and bring them up as naturally as possible. Consider cloth nappies and reusable diapers. They will learn from you. If they see you care for the environment, they will too.

And this is how moms can start a chain of caring for Mother Earth in everything we do.

Running your AC at 25°C vs 18°C can cut your electricity bill by over 30%. But it’s not just about saving on your bill, it is also about the
environmental impact.
Most households crank up the AC and then look for a quilt to cover themselves at night. How is that sensible? Similarly, most washing machines are not set to run at an optimum power level.

As moms, we have a lot of power to save power at home and prevent wastage.Don’t let your kids come from outside and lower the AC temperature
thinking that it will cool faster. Instead encourage them to wear light, natural clothing in summers or cover up in winters even inside the house and not
depend on power so much.

As women, we don’t think twice before using disposable sanitary pads or tampons. But do you know that
sanitary pads are second largest pollutants in oceans and landfills and they do not decompose

As women we can make this big switch ! As moms – it is our moral responsibility to find ways for ourselves and our daughters to reduce this waste. Switch to reusable products or non-plastic pads and tampons.

Join us this whole week to know how moms can save the planet just from their homes.
