You’ve managed to get through the first weeks with the foetus growing inside you and we know that you are proud of how you’ve handled all the changes in your life. But there are miles to go as you are just 7 weeks pregnant.
You have always started experiencing some of the pregnancy symptoms and this can bring a different set of new challenges. Plus, there are some underlying changes too beneath your 7 weeks pregnant belly. Here are some highlights of this timeline.
As you are 7 weeks pregnant, the unborn’s brain continues to form and the lungs start to take shape. The main parts of the eyes that allow the baby to see – the cornea, iris, pupil, lens, and retina start developing this week.
By the time you are seven weeks pregnant, the foetus has grown to around 1 cm long (0.4 inches). The unborn is now about the size of a blueberry.

When you are 7 weeks pregnant, the doctor will probably order tests, review your family history, and schedule an ultrasound if needed. If you have any concerns, you can ask the same to your doctor as he/ she is always the best person to guide you.
