A family vacation is the best way to spend quality time with your loved ones. Travelling with kids, especially babies however  requires a lot of pre-planning. With older kids we can risk being impromptu. If there ever was a moment during your past trips where you wondered just why you forgot to pack that ‘one thing’ that you urgently needed for your little one, then you will agree that the contents of your baby’s travel kit are the most crucial part of planning a holiday! As the holiday season is upon us, we decided to make sure that we have you covered. Here is a checklist of what you should pack when travelling with your little one:

Diapers

If your baby isn’t toilet trained, then you will most definitely need these.  When travelling to a place where you can pick up the same brand of diapers, just pack as many as you’ll need on the flight and at the hotel, if not then stock up mamma! Pull ups are best suited for travel.

Baby Wipes

These are every Mom’s must haves, whether you have a baby, a toddler or pre-schooler, baby wipes are always a must. From cleaning after a diaper change, to wiping a spit up, these have come in handy…always!. To avoid any allergic reaction or diaper rash, one must choose a trusted brand of baby wipes just like the Baby Dove Wipes. These hypoallergenic wipes effectively remove impurities while instantly moisturising baby’s delicate skin. Suitable for newborns, it is as gentle as water and also alcohol-free, which is a crucial aspect to consider when using a product on your baby.

Diaper Rash cream

Now this is one of the most common woes faced by most moms. While travelling, there may be unwarranted flight delays or you may forget a scheduled diaper change which might end with a diaper rash. To deal with such unexpected flare ups or rashes, a soothing diaper rash cream is a must have. The Baby Dove Rich Moisture Baby Rash Cream  neutralises pH in seconds and  forms a protective layer to shield your baby’s delicate skin from the causes of irritation. The cream neutralises pH in seconds and provides immediate protection from diaper rash. You will also notice that it leaves soothes baby skin leaving it soft and smooth. It comes in a handy tube that is perfect  when at home or on-the-go.

Clothes and Medicines

Packing clothes according to the climate of the destination is ideal. Clothing sets like t-shirts and shorts or tees and skirts also one pieces will make it handy and saves time from mix and matching. Carry swimsuits, hats and glasses for the kids if you are heading to a tropical place. Winter clothes if the climate at your destination is cold. Carrying the necessary medicines is equally important too.

Baby Lotion

The temperature in the plane can get chilly, so carrying a good baby lotion will come handy to smoothen out dry baby skin. This is when you need a good moisturiser that stays for a while and protects your baby’s skin from dryness. The Baby Dove Rich Moisture Nourishing Lotion keeps your baby’s skin moisturised for 24 hours!  Soothing dry skin from first use, it provides superior moisturisation and leaves baby’s skin extra soft and delicately scented.  The Baby Dove lotion has a pH-neutral formula, and is also dermatologist and paediatrician-tested,  ensuring that it is safe for use on new-borns too.

Formula and Snacks

Do pack milk powder, usually you can request for hot water on the flight, or you can carry hot water in a flask. Carry some quick nibbles for your baby like small bite size pieces of fruit, cereals etc and finger foods for older kids like biscuits or dry fruits that won’t get messy. Packing few juice boxes will help a lot.

Toys, Books and Whole lot of entertainment

If the flight duration is short then you can get through without a fussy bored kid, but if it’s longer than 4 hours with no in-flight entertainment, it’s best to pack stuff that will keep a toddler or pre-schooler busy. Best bets are activity books, colouring books and just a plain diary. If nothing works then playing one of their favourite movies on the Ipad should do the trick.

With a little planning and carrying your travel essentials, vacation with the kids can be fuss free and a fun experience. Thus, making memories, that a family can cherish for years to come!
