By 23 weeks, your baby is almost 30 cms long, weighs more than half a kilo and is about the size of a whole mango! In length, your baby is now more than half her/his birth size.

As sense of movement becomes stronger, your baby can now feel you move or dance. You too may be able to see movements under your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing fast, preparing for breathing. As ears develop she can now hear the sounds around her increasingly clearly. At this time she is also preparing for all the loud noises that will be routine once she is out. Sounds of your dog barking or that of the washing machine won’t startle her when she hears once outside the womb.
