Weekly Meal Plans #Week1 (7-12 months)
BabyChakra is happy to announce weekly meal plans for little ones who have been introduced to solids and are developing a definite palate!
Starting this week, you can pick ideas from our plans and add to the variety that your little one is already experiencing.
The meal plans have been put together by Healthy Eating Habit Expert Deepti Arora and she has made sure that there is a good combination of health, taste and lots of yumminess in there.
So go on and try them. Don’t forget to tell us how the little one liked it!
Deepti has a few things for you to consider.
How much should my baby eat?
Every baby is different. The amount that your baby eats can change from day to day. Your baby may also eat more or less than other babies. Use the sample meals as general guidelines only. Trust your baby to let you know when she is hungry or full.
Breast milk is the most important source of nutrition for your infant up to 12 months old. The menus are geared to give you ideas of what types of food you could serve at different meal times to get a good balance of nutrients and variety.
If you have not introduced a specific food/food group from this list, you should first test it out for any allergic reactions and only then go ahead and introduce it in your child’s regular diet.
Do not feel that your baby should be eating solid foods based on a specific schedule. Your baby will eat as much solid food as s/he needs - trust your baby’s cues.
