Thandi ke Ladoo or “Sutavada Ladoo”, as we call them in Marathi

 

These are traditionally made by us in winters, very rich and nutritious food,  to keep your body warm in winters

It can also be given to new mothers for milk production( as it  contains fenugreek seeds) and strength as body become very weak after delivery.

 

Ingredients (For 1 kg Ladoos):

  • 200 grams Dry Dates (Kharek)
  • 200 grams Almonds
  • 200 grams Cashew
  • 100 grams Dry Coconut
  • 50 grams Edible Gum (dink)
  • 50 grams Fenugreek Seeds
  • JagGery for sweetness
  • 250 grams Semolina (sooji) or 250 grams Urad dal
  • Ghee for binding

 

Take dry dates and remove seeds and make fine powder. Similarly make coarse powder of cashew, almonds and dry coconut powder too.

 

Take a pan, roast fenugreek seed and make a fine powder.

Add some ghee in a pan and fry edible gum as well,

Grind the mixture in a mixer, make sure the gum turns into a  fine powder.

 

Roast semolina and keep it aside ( if you want to take urad dal,  then roast urad dal and make a fine powder )

Mix all the dry ingredients well and add Jaggery as per your taste. Then add ghee for binding the laddoos.

 

Healthy and tasty ladoos are ready.
