Get Crafty This Christmas

With Christmas just around the corner, what better way to keep the kids occupied and entertained than ring in the cheer with some fun activities. Here is a list of fun activities that you can do with your little ones around Christmas!

Christmas Tree

There are many craft ideas which can be used to make a Christmas tree like one can make a felt cut out of a tree and draw lines and ask kids to stick stickers over them... Also another simple one would be to cut triangle shapes and stick them according to their size to make a tree.

Gingerbread Man

Take a paper cut of a gingerbread man. Ask your child to first cut bits of paper of brown orange colour and then stick them to make a mosaic or a collage and use buttons as eyes. Gingerbread man is now ready!

Wreath

Use a paper plate cut in the middle and stick ruffled multicolour paper or paint with green colour and use red bows or flowers as decorations. Also hand cutouts of green light and dark green arranged in a circular fashion works very well. The kids can then put this up on their room or house door.

Ornaments

Various ornaments can be made. For eg paper cut candy cane decorated with thumb prints, stars using icecream sticks, coloured or painted or decorated otherwise.

Santa

Found this cut newspaper santa which is very cute...paint the newspaper red and follow the image for a beautiful santa. Yes, this takes a while but it’s worth the effort.
Another simple one is by using a paper plate cut out and some pompoms or cotton balls and making a santa mask..

Hope these ideas make this festive season even more jolly for the kids. Do give it a try.

Merry Christmas !! Happy holidays!!
