Holi is the festival of colors celebrated in India and Nepal during the spring season. I never liked playing with colors as I have very sensitive skin and with the fear that my delicate skin will have scars, pimple outbursts. I never played with store bought colours and staying in huge joint family, I used to hide behind my grandmother so that no one applies color to me.

But motherhood changes everything, yes, I want my twins to enjoy and learn about each  and every festival so for the festival of colors Holi, I made vibrant and colorful organic whole colors at home

Method:

I used rice flour, food colors and water.

1- Take rice powder and add water and make a slurry.

2- Now add one food color and mix nicely.

3- Pour this mixture in a plate on a butter paper.

4- Let the mixture dry for 2-3 days, depending upon on the weather of the place you live in

5- Once the crack starts appearing, take it out and check if it’s completely dry

6- Now, grind it in a blender and your organic homemade holi colors are ready.

Similarly, you can make any number of colours you want.
