Kala Ghoda Art Festival 2015

At Kala Ghoda Arts Festival the little people have special precedence, a space where they can learn, laugh, dance and play. Participate in workshops and shows that are specially designed to interest curious and cheerful minds. There are no registrations and the children are welcome on first come - first serve basis.

The thematic for the 2015 festival is 'TOUCH OF JOY'. Little artists come together to spread the love of Art. The workshops will take place at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maha Vastu Sangrahalaya Gardens, Kitab Khana and Horniman Circle Gardens.

All registrations for Children's Events will begin half an hour before each workshop time at the CMVS Museum Gardens.

Entry on a first come first serve basis. Please Register for all literature kids events by emailing litkidskgaf15@gmail.com with 'Register' and the name of the session in the subject line.

1. HAPPY STORIES FROM BY THE SEA:

(a): Timings. 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Museum Garden on Saturday February 7, 2015

(b): Age Group. 2.5 to 5 years

A fun & interactive way of telling stories and conveying a message to children, using colourful props & aids.

 

2. GOING WILD:

(a): Timings. 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Kitab Khana on Saturday February 7, 2015

(b): Age Group. 4 years & onwards

Follow the adventures of a baby flamingo and lion cubs and get a whole lot of cool wildlife info with author Shamim Padamsee based on her books Little Flamingo Searches for Food + Watch out.

3. BOOK SWAP:

(a): Timings. 11:00 am to 12.00 pm at Museum Gardens on 8th February

(b): Age Group. For all age group

4. STORY MAGIC BY LITTLE READERS NOOK:

(a): Timings. 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Museum Gardens on 8th February

(b): Age Group. For 2 to 6 years

Join the Little Readers' Nook team as they take you on a wonderful road trip in the rattletrap car! And the junior master chefs can join us in making some razzleberry dazzleberry snazzleberry fizz and chocolate fudge, after!

5. THE ALPHABET BOOK:

(a): Timings. 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Somaiya Centre & Kitab Khana on 9th February

(b): Age Group. For 4 years & onwards

7. STORY MAGIC WITH LITTLE READER'S NOOK:

(b): Age Group. For 3 to 6 years

Join the Little Readers' Nook team as they transport the kids to a magical land with an action-packed story session and some monstrously amazing 'witch'craft!

8. BOXES FULL OF TRAVEL:

(a): Timings. 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Kitab Khana on 13th February

(b): Age Group. For 4 years & onwards

Brownbox takes you on exciting armchair adventures to different parts of the world. Buckle up for a fun Brownbox Roadtrip!

9. FROM THE HILLS OF THE NORTHEAST:

(a): Timings. 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm at Kitab Khana on 14th February

(b): Age Group. For 4 years & onwards

10. CLAY WORKSHOP:

(a): Timings. 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Museum Gardens on 15th February

(b): Age Group. For 4 to 10 years

Bright Candle Events is pleased to organize a clay workshop for kids. With clay the kids learn how to mold and create things around them, understand colors, shapes, objects and making their imagination real.

11. CREATIVE MOVEMENT - BY RHYTHMUS HAPPYFEET:

(a): Timings. 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Museum Gardens on 15th February

(b): Age Group. For 3 to 7 years

The focus of the workshop is to touch all developmental parameters of a child, i.e Physical, Cognitive and Social, through dance. This is done by introducing enthralling dance games, props and music that gets every child's feet tapping. With age appropriate music, syllabus and approach, this workshop provides a perfect balance between fun and learn.

12. SING, DANCE AND GO KNOTTY WITH THE CHIKARAKS:

(a): Timings. 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at Museum Gardens on 15th February

(b): Age Group. For 6 months to 6 years

Welcome to the magical world of the Chikaraks - Your childs 1st rock band!! We dance, sing, laugh, do craft activities, teach your kids lots of great values and have oodles and noodles of fun together!!! Come join our world of music, magic and madness!

13. BROWN LIKE DOSAS, SAMOSAS AND STICKY CHIKKI:
