Stuffed Vegetable Cheese Kulcha Sandwich

If you have leftover kulchas at home then you can use them to create this very easy and yummy snack for kids.This can be served at kiddy parties too.

 

Ingredients:

2 kulchas (for making 4 triangles)

  • Mayonnaise or butter (1 tablespoon)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon red or green chilli sauce (optional)
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated carrot
  • 6-8 black olives (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese or 2 cheese slices
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano or mixed herbs
  • Oil for cooking

 

Method:

  • Place the kulcha on a plate and spread mayo or butter. Then spread  ketchup  and chilli sauce.
  • Spread the cheese well and also arrange veggies. You can also use sauteed paneer, mushrooms, jalapeños and boiled corn kernels.
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper and oregano and place the other kulcha on it. Press it well with hands so that it sticks well.
  • Heat a non stick pan or grill pan. Add very little oil. Roast the kulcha well on simmer from one side, by pressing with ladle. Slowly flip it and again roast well.

 

You can serve this hot with any dip or sauce and even a salad to make it a complete fancy restaurant style meal.

 

Serving suggestion:

  • You can make fillings out of boiled potatoes, paneer bhurji, choicest veggies in tomato sauce and then make the dish.
  • You may also cut one kulcha in half, do the same process and grill it in a sandwich maker.
