My Mom Quotient:

Being a Mom has been challenging. Accepting defeat, feeling frustrated, being criticized and sometimes much more can get to you. But motherhood has taught me to multitask, get hands-on experience and get back on your feet no matter what. The journey of dreaming of opportunities along with my little bundle of joy makes me feel like a Superwoman.

My Mom Inc. Story:

With a Post Graduation in HR, I had a stressful corporate life with 14 hours non stop marathon of work. Life decided to slow me down, with a miracle in 2013 – the birth of my darling daughter. I had taken a decision to be with my precious one in her early years and my decision was welcomed by my husband.

During the first year, life was pretty challenging with loss of financial independence, postpartum stress and handling home. But almost after 6 months when my little one started responding to my conversations, it was the most beautiful thing.

Then came a phase, when I introduced her to the most attractive asset: the television.

We began with watching some baby channels as convenience feeding sessions, but as a year passed by, she started requesting to watch specific shows and denying TV time started her off on those aggressive tantrums.

I soon realized that this should not be the way I should engage my child. While I was into reading when she was involved in some activity, she used to observe me and gradually started copying me. The most beautiful part of this upbringing is that,if my daughter has to choose between a gadget or a book, she would most definitely choose the latter.

Advice For Mompreneurs:

Life is tough, clearly, and post children and being a mompreneur is clearly a balance between your joy of being a Mom and a successful person.

But don’t stop yourself from opportunities because you are a Mom, be confident, amaze yourself and dream always, you will absolutely rock it.
