Restaurant Style Masala Soya Chaap Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 gm Soya Chaap(10 to 12 pieces)
  • 2 medium size onion (fine paste)
  • 4 large tomatoes(pureed)
  • ½ tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup beaten curd
  • 1/2 malai(well beaten)
  • 1-2 green cardamoms
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 2 to 3 cloves
  • 1/2 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin seed powder
  • ½ coriander powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 degi mirch
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tablespoon kitchen king masala
  • Vegetable oil

Method:

  • Wash the chaaps nicely under running water and ,make small slits on the champs with the help of a knife.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a nonstick pan and put the champs into the oil n shallow fry these till golden brown in color.
  • Remove the chaaps from the pan and in same pan, add some more oil and saute crushed cloves, green cardamoms,cinnamon stick for 3 to 5 sec.
  • Add onion, ginger and garlic paste and fry it golden brown colour
  • Mix tomatoes and fry till the oil separates.
  • Now, add beaten curd with very low flame and again stirring it till the oil leaves masala.
  • Add dry masala as mentioned in ingredients, mix well and saute for 3 to 4 min.
  • Pour 2 cups of water in the mixture and bring it to a boil.
  • Add soya chaps and cook them on a low flame for 10 to 15 mins.
  • Remove from heat and add beaten malai and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

 

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or naan.
