I never liked eating plum and my mom used to make juice out of this fruit for us. My daughter is also fussy about plums and I always try making her consume it in the form of juice. I have named it as Plumtastic. This drink is an appetizer, lifts stomach heat, beneficial for anyone who suffers from anemia and is loaded with vitamins and minerals.

Here goes the easy recipe:

Ingredients (for 3 large glasses):

10 plums of medium size
3-4 tbsp honey
2-3 tsp black salt as per taste
2 tsp Chaat masala
Ice cubes
Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Water

Method:

  1. Boil about 2.5 glasses water in a pan and add washed plums. Let them boil. Turn off the gas and let the plums be in hot water for 10-15 minutes.
  2. When bearably hot, with clean hands, peel and deseed the plums and put again in same water.
  3. Churn this mix. Add honey, black salt, Chaat masala and ice cubes.

Serve chilled with mint garnish. You may add sugar instead of honey if you like.
