Wanna have a dose of health and taste together? Presenting “Breakfast In a glass”!!

 

I made it today and it was not only a sugar free healthy breakfast option but  also very filling and easy to make.

 

I have made one with strawberry Jam and one without it. So, one can  have it as per their liking. Also, you can add fruits and nuts as per your choices.

Ingredients (For 2 large glasses):

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup cornflakes (I have used cranberry flavoured wheat flakes)
  • 1 cup milk
  • Few drops vanilla essence
  • 1 bowl Chopped fruits (banana, apple, pear, strawberries, kiwi, chikoo etc)
  • Chopped nuts and roasted seeds
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Jam (optional)

 

Method:

  • In one glass, add a lining of jam. Also, dip some cornflakes in warm milk.
  • In another microwavable bowl, add oats mixed in milk and warm it in a microwave for 20 seconds. Then add some vanilla essence and mix.
  • For assembling, first add oats at the bottom of the glass. Drizzle some honey and make a layer of fruits. Then, add a layer of cornflakes and again drizzle some honey. Top it up with fruits and then oats. In between, add nuts and roasted seeds of melon, chia etc.
  • Finish it with some jam and serve just like that or cold.

 

 

Your kids, too, will enjoy this with a variety of flavors available.
