Toddler House: Q&A

Toddler House established in January 2015, located at a convenient spot, Juhu, is dedicated to giving children the best possible start to life. It provides a happy environment to children from 18 months to 5 year. It is day care facility in , where children from 2 to 8 years are looked after.

During our conversation with Rukshana, the preschool head, she answered the following questions.

1. Tell us more about yourself:

My name is Rukshana Irani , I am the ex principal of a reputed CBSE school in the western part of Mumbai.  I have 24 years of experience in the educational background.

2. What teaching method has your school adopted?

We have an integrated method which we have developed. It combines traditional and modern Pedagogy. We have high qualified and experienced teachers who take care of the toddlers.

3. What value do you try to incorporate in the children of your school?

We incorporate love, respect and team work. This helps increase the self confidence of the children. The children perform various activities which fine tune their sensorial, mathematical, language and physical development.

4. A day in the life of a student from your school:

We promote fun learning. The students come to school and talk to their friends. Normally a day starts off with a prayer followed by the session where usually there is a discussion. This is followed by activities where they either taught to numbers or alphabets or day to day activities. They are taught in small numbers and hence they enjoy the experience more.

5. What is the best part about being a preschool head?

Seeing the smile on the faces of the children and the contentment on the parents’ faces is definitely the best thing about being a preschool head.

6. Why should people choose Toddler House?

We provide the children with a home away from home. Children are taught in small groups because we believe each child needs special care. Personal care is given to each and every child. It is a stimulating and happy environment for the child.
