This is an organic music festival that happens in Bangalore every year. It goes on for 12 hours, from 7pm to 7am and you can be one with nature as you watch great bands perform under a banyan tree. Being on the outskirts of the city, near a lake, you have access to other adventure activities around that you may want to indulge in.

3. Goa

Goa is a place to visit at any time of there. It’s one of the most popular holiday destinations in India for most Indians and foreigners alike. If you want to do something different from the ordinary, there are 2 great events in Goa that may capture your fancy. The first is the Sunburn music festival held in Goa annually, in the month of December. The line-up of electronic music artists consists of some of the biggest names in the industry. You can have the best of both worlds as you enjoy the electronic music along with the peaceful sounds of the beach. The second event is the Goa carnival, the local version of Mardi Gras. Though it’s a mainly a Christian festival, the fun atmosphere can be enjoyed by all! It starts on the Saturday before Ash Wednesday and marks the first day out of the Easter fast. So take our hubby and experience something exotic as you taste some local delicacies.

4. Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, located in Rajasthan, is a city rich with culture. Located in the desert, this city can offer you a whole new look at our country. The Jaisalmer desert festival is where to you can see this culture coming to life, amidst the sand dunes. It happens in the month of February every year and the talent consists of puppeteers, folk singers, fire dancers, acrobats, and a lot more. While you’re at it, you might even go for a camel ride in the desert, but watch out! Camels aren’t easy to ride; you might find your butt on the sand more often than in the camel. There is another festival that happens towards the latter half of the year, in the month of November. The music festival of Rajasthan. It showcases culturally diverse artists as you camp out under the stars in the dunes. This festival lasts for three days and will invoke the inner traveller in you.

5. Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Fest

This music festival takes place in Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh. It can satisfy the inner traveller in you as well as the music lover. As you listen to sounds of jade, rock and roll, blues, folk-rock, funk, and many others, you can take all the time you like to admire the beautiful views of the snow-capped mountain sides and the town down below. It’s perfect snuggle weather and the money you spend goes to helping children with severe health conditions.
