In the age of emails, Whatsapp and other instant  forms of communication, sending a wish means forwarding a message to all our contacts. Simple and quick, right? But don’t you sometimes miss the personal touch that handwritten letters and cards used to have?

This Christmas, let’s teach our kids to add a personal touch to their Christmas cards and give them to friends and family. Won’t it be nice?

Some of us busy moms might think, “oh who has time to sit with the kid and make cards?” But with these simple ideas, we bet you’ll get down to making them immediately! Here you go!

Palmed Santa

Don’t know how to draw Santa Claus? No problem! Ask your little one to dip his little hands into white paint and make handprints on some plain paper (not white color). Add a hat cut out, some googly eyes, nose, mouth and few white paint details to show hair. Done! Ho Ho Ho!

Pasta Wreath

Pasta, paint, glue! That’s all you need to make this creative card. Dip uncooked pasta into green paint (bow tie, fusilli or penne will work well). Stick them around a circle, and add a red ribbon bow to finish.

Cupcake Angels

Super cute angels that will steal your heart and they’re so easy to make!. Take a few cupcake wrappers. Cut them into half for the angels’ bodies and quarters for their wings. Add a circle shape for the faces that you can draw, and then add other little details such as a halo, some wool for hair, etc. Stick these on your cards!

Footprint Christmas Tree

Green paint, red paint, brown pen, star sticker and a child who is willing to dip his/her feet into paint! Dip your munchkin’s feet into green water paint, shake off the excess and make a footprint on a piece of paper. Make the second one slightly overlapping the first, as shown in the picture. Add red paint for decoration, make the tree trunk, place the star and celebrate!
