Breakfast Recipes: Rawa Potato Fingers & Vermicelli

Since my husband was working on Saturday, I got up at  6.30 am and made a lunch box for him. The meal had roti, dal fry, aloo gobhi masala, and some dry fruits. The kids were asleep and I decided to surprise them made their favorite breakfast which consisted of vegetable vermicelli and rawa potato finger bites. Check out the recipes below:


Rawa Potato Finger Bites

1. Take 1cup rawa in a bowl and add 1/4 cup dahi and mix well.
2. Keep aside for 20 minutes.
3. Add 2 boiled, peeled and mashed potatoes along with salt, roasted cumin powder, chat masala, and black pepper powder.
4. Mix well
5. Now roll it in finger length. Apply a little oil in hands so that it doesn't stick.
6. Now roll it over cornflour.
7. Fry it till golden brown
8. Serve hot with dips of your choice


Vegetable Vermicelli


1. In a tsp oil fry 1cup vermicelli till golden brown.
2. Switch off the gas and take it out.
3. Now add 2tsp oil and when heated add cumin seeds.
4. Let it splutter and now add chopped onions and saute it.
5. Add vegetables of your choice like chopped carrots, beans and peas.
6. Saute it and add masala like turmeric powder, red chili powder,garam masala, and salt.
7. Mix well and add 2 cups of water.
8. Let it simmer for 3-4 mins and add roasted vermicelli.
9. Mix well and let it get cooked
10. Once it is cooked, top it with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
