Gone are the days when mothers were stereotyped as melodramatic & teary eyed. At the cusp of 2020, we have some really cool mothers who are rewriting the rules of motherhood. They don’t let go off their careers, being a stellar influence through their work while being an uber cool, kickass mum as well.

Kareena Kapoor Khan:

Many had thought that “Bebo” would forego working & her starry career after delivering the kid who broke the internet aka Taimur Ali Khan aka Jr Chote Nawaab. But she hasn’t!

Veere Di Wedding, Udta Punjab, Ki & Ka & very recently Good Newwz. She’s been on the top of her game as an actress! Her latest radio chat show with Ishq 104.8 FM is in its 2nd Season & killing it as well.

Rani Mukherjee:

After her hush-hush marriage in 2014 to Yash Raj Films baron Aditya Chopra, Rani delivered baby girl Adira soon after. Rani had taken a sabbatical from movies to focus on her personal life.

She returned to movies with a not-so-success Hitchki in 2018. However, Rani’s latest flick Mardaani 2, sequel to hit super female cop movie Mardaani (from 2014) has proved to be a hit already.
Being a protective & private mother to Baby Adira, Rani is not just being a super hands-on mother but also a superstar actress that we knew her as.

Neha Dhupia:

Neha Dhupia is not only a very famous actress (Qayamat, Tumhari Sullu, Hindi Medium, Lust Stories, etc) but also was a successful super-model (she’s Former Miss Universe India in 2002).

She recently tied knot with Angad Bedi (actor & model) and is a proud mum to a very adorable Mehr Dhupia Bedi.

What’s most inspirational about Neha is, while managing her pregnancy, she was actively working. She was a badass team mentor (the only female mentor, mind you) on the reality TV show Roadies, ultra-savvy on the new-age digital mediums like JioSaavn with her very famous podcast called #NoFilterNeha. She has also aced the smaller screen with MTV Roadies, BFFs with Vogue & more.

Self-confessed a very realist mum, Neha’s (as well as Angad’s) Insta is filled with oh-so-cute pictures & videos of her daughter Mehr.

More power to her tribe!

Sushmita Sen:

Miss India, Miss Universe, super-model, award-winning actress, entrepreneur, yoga enthusiast, passionate dancer & a single mother. Is there anything that she cannot do? Absolutely nil. NADA!

At 44, she isn’t just putting women half her age to shame with her fitness but also turning heads wherever she goes. The diva is a proud mother to two girls Renee & Alisah Sen. At just 24, she adopted her elder daughter Renee (who’s now 19!) & till today believes that motherhood brought immense stability to her life.

Breaking the myths around being single mum, being vocal about her passion for life, living & loving; Sush (as she fondly called), is showing us the path for single motherhood.

Sunny Leone:

Who doesn’t know her? From being the most searched person on the Internet to taking Bollywood by storm with her dance moves & her acting, she’s done it all.
She climbed the parenthood ladder after adopting her daughter Nisha Kaur Weber in 2017 & later adopted two boys Asher & Noah Singh Weber.

An entrepreneur, actor, activist & more, Sunny has never been secretive about the adoption of her kids & has been phenomenal in making the adoption a conversation which isn’t considered a taboo anymore.

Mothers like these & more, are beyond inspirational who continue to rock their careers, their work lives & make motherhood so so cool!
