Pregnancy glow is not a fantasy during pregnancy. At around the 11th week of pregnancy, hormones coupled with an increased blood volume give a radiant look to the skin. And this is called pregnancy glow. There are other reasons for the pregnancy glow to add shine and brightness to a pregnant woman’s skin, making it simply flawless!
Pregnancy glow is defined as luminous skin or rosy cheeks that give you a radiant, slightly flushed appearance during pregnancy. The blood volume in your body rises by roughly 50% during pregnancy, making skin look brighter and shinier.
Sweating
During pregnancy, the body temperature of a woman rises due to increased body weight and blood volume. Pregnancy also demands a lot, causing the body to produce extra sweat. Sweat clears the impurities from the skin, making it look brighter and shinier.
Moisture Retention
A pregnant woman’s skin retains moisture, which contributes to the smoothening of fine lines and wrinkles. This retention of moisture effectively provides smooth skin, adding glow to the skin.
Some pregnant women glow throughout the nine months, while others perceive a difference in the first or second trimester. The length and intensity of it will be determined by your hormone levels.
The pregnancy glow may not be felt by all women. While all pregnant women have increased blood flow and volume, the amount of glow that appears on their skin differs.
During pregnancy, women with naturally oily skin may see an increase in breakouts. Even ladies who don’t usually have pimples or blemishes may realize that they’re breaking out more.
Tips To Maintain Pregnancy Glow
To maintain your pregnancy glow for a longer duration, you can follow the following tips in your daily routine:
Pregnancy is a period to focus on positivity. Every woman has an idea of what looks good on her; Pamper yourself, take a break and get a good massage therapy or pedicure to get the refined look. However, make sure you are not doing any of those things that may harm you.
