Most doctors advise introducing foods besides breastmilk to your baby at the age of 4-6 months. It’s always a good idea to choose foods that can be combined with breastmilk and given to the baby. Doing so; does not keep the baby deprived of the nutrition that they receive from the breastmilk and also provides them with the additional nutrients from the food source.

Mango

Fresh mango puree mixed with breast milk is one of the most loved foods for new eaters. Mango is a rich source of minerals, phytonutrients, and vitamins that help build the immune system. Vitamin C in mangoes is an important component that plays a role in boosting immunity in growing babies. The consistency and texture of mango make it the most preferred and loved food by most babies.

Moong dal

Moong dal is a good source of protein, sodium, fiber, folic acid, iron, and carbohydrates. It is easy to digest for new eaters and it plays a role in building healthy immunity and supporting physical growth of the baby. It also helps in providing the required amount of energy needed by the baby for everyday functions.

Rice

Like Moong Dal, rice is an easy-to-digest food for babies. Rice is a good source of nutrients needed for the growth and development of the baby. Rice is a rich source of calcium, vitamin B complex, proteins, carbohydrates, and iron. It also helps provide energy to the body for various functions. Semi-solid boiled rice can be mixed with breastmilk and fed to the babies.
