We in India, are often star struck and often wonder how celebrities go through the key events of their life such as childbirth!

Well our twinkling brown-eyed, always smiling Bengali actress, Rani Mukherji, had a baby girl a day ago, Adira, and you may wonder how similar would they look. Isn’t it? We too, would have been happy to get a sneak peek at Rani’s and Aditya Chopra’s little bundle of joy and send them our heartiest congratulations! But for now, we let them step into parenthood privately, for it’s one of the most demanding and enjoyable days of their life ahead! 🙂

At the launch of the trailer of her film Mardaani, Rani had said that those good days, hinting at motherhood, will definitely come. Also in an interview with the Times of India, Rani had said, “I want to expect soon. Every woman is born to procreate and God has given us that magical power to bring another human being into the world. Adi always teases me, ‘You are born to become a mother. You should have had babies when you were born only.’ So yes, I am completely looking forward to becoming a mother. But movies are my first love and that is what has given me confidence and a say in this world.”

ani was spotted with baby bump outside a gynecologist’s clinic in Khar, Mumbai and she has maintained a low profile about her pregnancy otherwise. We also learnt that the celebrity couple have set up a cosy nursery for her baby, pretty lavishly.

While father-to-be, Aditya Chopra, was busy doing up the baby’s room, Rani Mukerji had even conducted a hawan in the Yash Raj Films’ office, to protect her baby during her pregnancy.

Live every mother of a newborn, Rani said, “Today life has given us God’s greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans, our friends and well-wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy, we begin this new chapter in our lives.”

Born last morning at Breach Candy Hospital, in Mumbai, Adira Chopra, is the couple’s first child!
