1. Banana Bread

Ingredients

2 cups flour
2 ½ cups ripe bananas mashed
¾ cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
½ cup butter
¼ tsp salt

Preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Then mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Take another bowl and mix the butter and sugar until it forms a creamy texture.

2. Next, stir the mashed bananas and eggs into the sugar cream made out of butter and mix it well.

3. Stir the banana mix into the flour and beat it into a smooth batter.

4. Grease a baking pan and pour this mixture into it.

5. Bake the bread for 60 minutes and test with a toothpick before taking it out of the oven.

6. Wait for the bread to cool down before slicing it and then serve it.

2. Fruits On a Stick

This easy recipe is for parents whose kids hate fruits. 

Ingredients

1 apple, cut into chunks
¼ diced cantaloupe(kharbooja) diced
5 strawberries cut into half
20 skewers
2 bananas, peeled and cut into slices

Preparation

  1. Take a skewer to skew the strawberry to the top.
  2. Then skew the cantaloupe, along with the apple and the banana.
  3. Repeat the skewing until you have added fruit to all the skewers.
  4. Serve these colourful fruits on a plate to your toddler.

3. Meatballs

Meatballs are easy to pick and munch on and are nutritious as they are rich in protein.
Ingredients
Ground chicken
Rava
Eggs
Parmesan cheese
Chopped and steamed carrots

How to Prepare
1. Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients.
2. Then cover the bowl and refrigerate for one hour.
3. Preheat the oven to 420 F. Use wet hands to form the balls and bake these balls for about 20 minutes. 

4. Pumpkin Muffins

Ingredients
1 small pumpkin, seeded
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
¾  cup sugar
½ teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cloves
3 cups flour
3 eggs
2 teaspoons nutmeg powder
1 teaspoon allspice
2/3 cups vegetable oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. To make the puree out of the pumpkin, first, remove the strings and seeds. Then take a foil to bake the pumpkin covered, for about ninety minutes. Once the pumpkin cools down, make the pumpkin puree.
  3. Take another bowl to add the flour, sugar, pumpkin puree, beaten eggs, vegetable oil, allspice, ground cinnamon, baking powder, nutmeg, baking soda and cloves. Mix all the ingredients well until they turn into a smooth batter.
  4. In a muffin tray, distribute the batter evenly. 
  5. Bake the batter for about 25 minutes and serve warm.

5. Healthy Nachos

Ingredients

¼ cup refrigerated taco sauce

1 cup tortilla chips

¼ cup shredded cheese 

¼ cup seasoned ground chicken that is refrigerated

Preparation

  1. In a rectangular oven tray, arrange the nachos or tortilla chips in such a way that they form a single layer.
  2. Next, top the chips using ground chicken and shredded cheese. Spread this mix over the chips evenly.
  3. Microwave this for one minute or until the cheese melts.
  4. Top up the nachos with diced vegetables like tomatoes, olives, avocados and salsa or cream. Your nachos are ready to be served.
