I am an engineer, a homemaker and now a content creator. I have been adding humour to mundane nuances of life and making people laugh with my content.
My career took a back seat when I became a mum and though my son Isaac is 8 years now, getting back to work after a long gap still seems impossible for me.
My current profession is being a full-time mommy and part-time creating content. Once a good friend of mine casually suggested I do reels because my humour with sarcasm always made people laugh and that’s when I thought to give it a shot and my journey as a content creator began.
My content is what we women go through, be it with our husbands or our in-laws or our kids or our career. I also create content on how women juggle between different roles and yet keep the family’s needs at the forefront. So that’s where my inspiration for reels comes from. The initial days of motherhood are a roller coaster ride but my husband has always been there for me in taking care of our little one. He had also been involved in burping him, doing diaper changes and allowing me to get the needed rest that mothers need. In fact, he helped me get through the whole postpartum phase.
My son is game when it comes to reels and you can see him in many of my reels as he loves being in front of the camera just like his mum.
He’s still small to understand the negativity on social media and I have kept him away from it.
Being a parent just strengthens your bond which no words can describe. We understand each other better now and have grown more patient with each other and solved our conflicts in a more calm way.
Stay strong and remember this too shall pass.
Your kids will grow up and have a life of their own so take care of yourself and don’t forget that you have an identity of your own apart from being a mum.
My son’s future is for him to decide what he wants for himself. As a mother, I can only support him with his dreams and ambitions and help him scale new heights.
