If you live in an area where mosquitoes are prevalent, you know the struggles of keeping them under control. These insects don’t just bite but can also cause several fatal diseases like malaria, dengue and yellow fever.

You can buy mosquito repellent products online or from stores but they are filled with chemicals and can also have side effects for you and your little ones.  But there are easy and natural options that you can opt for instead or you can even opt for organic, toxin and DEET free mosquito repellent patches and roll-ons that are specially made for babies.

How to Get Rid of Mosquitoes Inside the House Naturally

Take a cup of water and add a few drops of peppermint oil. Then fill the mix in a spray can and spray the solution on your skin. Peppermint oil has chemical compounds that drive away mosquitoes. It also has a fresh and minty smell.

2. Mint

Similar to lavender oil, mosquitoes also hate the smell of mint. Once again, use this Achilles heel to your advantage. Take some fresh mint or mint oil and place it strategically around the home. Bonus points if you create a homemade sachet or two! You can also consider growing mint shrubs in pots on the patio to keep them away for good.

3. Camphor

Camphor is another option to prevent mosquito bites naturally. This pungent substance is helpful at keeping mosquitos away because the scent overwhelms them.

You can buy camphor tablets and place them in a bowl of water or get camphor which can be used in a aroma diffuser.
