During an interaction with Quint, Kareena opened up about her cesarean delivery and gaining postpartum weight. She shared that she had to have a cesarean delivery because of complications due to which she was getting anxiety. Therefore, they had to perform a C-section.

Yoga has been a savior as it has helped her battle mood swings, strengthen her immunity and stay calm. Kareena also shared that with her first pregnancy, she had gained 25 kilos. So in her second pregnancy, she believed in the fact that she must only eat for herself and not for two people.

Sticking to grains and vegetables for nutrition is what the actress advises to the mums-to-be. From ‘super food’ ghee to having a curd once in a day, she delved into all her cravings. She further spoke about her regular fitness mantra amidst pregnancy. To her, instead of being deprived of the favorite dish, the trick is to strike the right balance and stick to the right proportion.

Kareena had been working throughout both her pregnancies. She shot with Aamir Khan for Laal Singh Chaddha amidst her second pregnancy. She kept her fans updated on her social media where she was equally active.

Admitting the fact that pregnancy and motherhood are one of the most challenging yet fulfilling experiences in a woman’s life, she said that giving birth involves multiple emotions. As women suffer from postpartum depression, the Jab We Met actress suggests to remain calm and experience the bliss of giving birth and motherhood.

Positive attitude is all that is needed to deal with pregnancy and postpartum depression. She does not believe in following any stereotype that can jeopardize the baby’s health. Kareena says seeking the help of a doctor when one is unsure, is always advisable.

Neha was working even in the ninth month of her pregnancy, as she believed that was the secret to stay active and energised. Besides being busy promoting her TV shows, she also hosted her own radio talk show during her pregnancy.

According to her, pregnancy doesn’t make one weak. She believes in the fact that if one is fit enough to give life to someone, one shall be strong enough to continue with anything and everything.

Deriving happiness from work, the actress lived in a tent in the Northeast and shot for an adventure reality show for the first 45 days of her pregnancy.
