Bloating during pregnancy could de due to several reasons like certain foods, pressure caused due to the expansion of the uterus, hormonal changes, indigestion, etc. In order to relieve the discomfort and pain caused by bloating you can follow these simple tips:

1. Exercise regularly and go for walks to not only keep yourself active but also maintain good gut health. Exercise supports the movement of stool, helps pass the gas out, and reduces bloating.

2. Yoga (child pose, happy baby pose) and stretching exercises can support digestion and help reduce bloating. It also helps muscle relaxation that allows the gas in the intestine to pass and reduce bloating.

3. Control your salt intake. Excess consumption of salt can cause water retention in the body leading to bloating.

4. Keep a habit of eating healthy at regular intervals. Bigger meals or heavy meals can lead to indigestion and bloating.

5. Another way to control meal size to avoid bloating caused by overeating is by drinking plenty of water before the meal. It not only helps limit your meal size but also helps in better digestion.

6. Eat slow. When you try eating fast you tend to take in air which will possibly lead to bloating.

7. Limit your fatty and junk foods. Having too much fried or fatty foods can lead to gas accumulation in the digestive system and cause bloating.

8. Keep a habit to drink peppermint tea (non-caffeinated) to improve digestion and reduce gas accumulation in the digestive system.

Start following these basic habits in order to control pregnancy bloating and discomfort caused by it.
