Sanjay Gandhi National Park previously known Krishnagiri National Park encompasses an area of 104 km2 (40 sq mi) and is surrounded on three sides by India's most populous city. 

Kids just love watching the animals, plants and various species so closely. They have a toy train and safari park for kids to enjoy. You can get cycles on hire. There is drinking water and toilet facilies available in the park.

One can see worlds smallest rusty spotted cat and other wildlife like monkeys, langurs, hyenas, spotted deer, sambhar, barking deer, indian flying foxes, black naped hares. It also has varieties of attractive species of reptiles like snakes, pythons, varieties of lizards, dangerous vipers and cobras.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park has varieties of rare plants, flowers, migratory birds, species of trees, reptiles and wild animals which can be seen during trek, trials and safari visits. 

Some of rare plants and trees being kadamba, acacia, teak, shisam, ziziphus, euphorbia, karanj and more. The beautiful forest of national park has a beautiful scenic views across its dense forest during monsoon.
