About Taraporewala Aquarium

At Taraporewala Aquarium, there are 100 species of Marine and Fresh Water Fish including seven types of Coral Fish from the Lakshadweep Islands. 

Attractions include Sharks, Turtles, Rays, Moray Eels, Sea Turtles, Small Starfish and Stingrays. Exhibits offer a glimpse of the variety of Marine life in the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean. There is also a room with Fossils and Preserved fish in Bottles, along with Rare Sea Shells.

After the renovation the place has some good collection of fishes and other aquatic animals.
It's a small place though and you would finish looking around in less than 30 minutes.

Eagerly took my son to the aquarium after the much hyped "renovation". The variety of fish and aquatic creatures isnt much as compared to before. Some tanks were empty and unkempt. Long queues make the wait even more anticipatory only to le ...see more



I stay on the other side of town and I had specially planned a whole day to make my baby visit this place as I had heard great reviews about it on just dial etc. but the place is very low grade, lacks basic facilities like fans and coolers, ...see more



its renovated well now but they still cnt maintain d fishes well which r imported for d aquarium.. many fishes hv died



Must visit place for kids to teach them about marine life.They can learn about the different types of fishes along with other sea creatures. My daughter just loved the place as it was her first visit. It takes you in a different world altog ...see more

It's overhyped. Was looking forward to make my son there ever since they inaugurated after making the new one, and when I finally did take him, I was disappointed. The entrance tunnel which is sooo talked about, is just about ok and gets ov ...see more

I have had the opportunity to visit various aquariums in the US. And sadly this doesn't even come close. Every tank is the same size regardless of the size of the animal. And then the tropical section is a bunch of tiny tanks packed togethe ...see more
