Child's behaviour is one the most difficult and challenging task to deal with. The most disruptive and agonising part according to me is when your child cannot say a simple SORRY, THANK YOU AND PLEASE.

For instance, i happened to meet this little girl form my son's preschool where they were celebrating a child's birthday. As a part of the ritual all the children sang Happy birth day song and yes the most loved part for the kids is the chocolate sharing part. It started off and when this little girl picked up one chocolate for herself she immediately unwrapped and gulped it. But what was unsettling to me was that she did not even greet the Birthday girl or she could have said a simple THANK YOU as a sweet gesture. When asked by her mom why was that she did not say THANK YOU, the child replied that it's her birthday obviously she must give chocolates and why should i thank her for it.

I was taken aback , is this even possible for a child to reply in such a way. The kid was so obstinate and hesitant to say a simple word THANKS. Oh My God! where are going forward, with all those you tube links with rhymes on three golden words SORRY, THANK YOU AND PLEASE, This wasn't the case with our generation, we did it without any such manuals, why are these good deeds like caring , sharing, using these golden gesture aren't a quality in many now.

So, here i request and would like to give few simple tips to inculcate such precious habits.

○Be an example

Children learn from adults, empower your child to see himself as a generous person who can make things better. Set an example.

○Be consistent

Parents should plainly spell out to the child that the behavior is wrong wherever necessary.

○Be Practical

Forcing a child to say "sorry" should not be thrown away entirely, but getting kids to just say the words, without understanding the meaning or how to help fix whats the cause, does not solve the bigger issue. So, be practical.

○Make the child responsible for his or her action.

Begin the process of having a child accept responsibility and feel accountable for his own aaction.

Let's rise and raise SHINING STARS with those traits. Meet you guys with another interesting post.

So true ...being practical and imparting courtesy is very important...I notice most kids today don't even bother to look into it eye to talk... And with Aarav I always ensure to treat him the way I want him to treat me...sorry , thank you, please everything

Mahima Atishaya
Good you do. Yes it needs to be inculcated right from now. Its the exposure and environment to be blammed too.

Very true...

Exactly great post wat a perfect timing , Revauthi rajamani this today generation omg pata nahi wats going on, those 3 courtesy words its very difficult , other than that wat language they speak , yes even an reputated school children becum a brat n talk without respect. Blame our environment.
As for me this happens usually..
Nice post mom thanks for sharing n tagging.

I guess all we aware moms have gathered up here....and those moms who are living only for themselves out their in thd world....are blissfully unaware of what their child is learning or doing and of course our discussion doesn't matter to them. So our kids hv to deal with those kids too and that makes teaching and learning even more tougher.

Good share! I usually do👍

In general i think people have stopped feeling thankfull in life.
