Fruit custard is a fresh fruit salad prepared with custard powder and seasonal fruits prepared by MasterChef queen of home.
It is a very delicious dessert item. It is also good for health.
It is a source of proteins and rich in calcium also. As its main ingredients are fruits and milk.
It gives more energy.
If kids are not eating fruits directly you can prepare this fruit custard then they may have it without leaving anything in bowl.
Apple, pomegranate, Mango, Banana, Grapes
(Any fruit of your choice)
** First heat 2cups of milk in a heavy bottomed pan.
** Mean while take 2 tbspn custard powder in a cup and add 4 tbspn of cold milk and mix it such that no lumps are formed.
** When milk is boiled add 1/4 th cup of sugar to it and stir it well. You can check the sweetness and add little more.
** Then add the custard mix to the boiled milk and keeps on stirring.
** Keep mixing continuously by keeping flame on low.
** After some time you can check the colour will be changed and consistency will be thickened slightly.
** Donot over cook. As it thickens keep stirring and adjust the consistency and switch off the flame.
** Transfer to a separate bowl and cool it.
** Then add all the chopped fruits and cardomom powder to it and gently mix it.
** Refrigerate this bowl for 2 hours.
** After cooled it turns in to a thick and creamy consistency.
** Lastly yummy yummy Fruit custard is ready to serve and eat.
Have it and get the pleasure of seasonal fruits.
Usually kids like it a lot. They feel it as fruit salad ice cream.
