Sago Khichdi

Sago is good for health. It can be introduced to infants 1.5yrs. Which can be easily digestible.

Sago provides antioxidants and resistant starch, and it may be linked to health benefits, including reducing your risk factors for heart disease and improving exercise performance.

Here is one simple recipe for kids and adults.

Ingredients:

Sago - 1/2 cup

Oil/ghee

Peanuts- 2 tsp

Green chili - 1 slit

Coriander- 1 tsp finely chopped

Sugar- pinch

Salt - for taste

Lemon juice - 1 tsp

Potato - cubed, boiled and fried - 1/4 cup

Jeera

Recipe :

🥣 Take a bowl and soak sabudana in water for 5 hours. Later sieve water and keep aside.

🥣 heat pan and add peanuts. Roast it till they turn golden brown and once it cooled down. Make it a coarse powder in a mixer.

🥣 now in the same pan, add oil and fry cumin, once they splutter add green chili, boiled potatoes and saute till potatoes turn golden brown.

🥣 Now add sieved sabudaan, salt and sugar. Mix well and close the lid for 3-5 min. The soaked Sabudaan turns to cooked ones ( don't add water ). Cook in low flame.

🥣 Then add peanut powder, lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix well and saute for a min. Serve hot.
