Day 5: Yellow Moong Dal

Moong dal boosts immunity and aids metabolism in babies. As a complementary food, it is easy and quick to prepare.

Ingredients :

Yellow Moong Dal - 2 spoons

Water - 1 glass

Hing - Pinch (optional)

Preparation:

1.Wash and soak the daal for about 30 minutes

2. Take a pressure cooker and add the soaked daal, hing with water

3.Cook the dal for 2-3 whistles and strain the water

4.Feed baby the cooled strained dal water with a spoon.

Note: Breastfeeding is advised until 12 months and beyond as it is a rich source of nutrients for the baby.

Disclaimer: Please consult your doctor before introducing salt/sugar/ hing to your baby.
