There are too many tried and tested ways to increase a kids immunity. But various food habits do help in boosting the same and also decreasing the flu.
1. Incorporate Dill seeds in your foods. Dill seeds can be used in your tea masala, boiled water, soups, powdered form in garam masala etc. Dill seeds help in digestion, increases immunity and also helps in decreasing diabetes in adults. Recipe for tea masala? Handful of green saunf, handful Dill seeds, few elaichi, few peppercorns, few cloves and cinnamon. Grind and store.
2. Try the Turmeric and chickpea flour milk when having cold - turmeric is a great immunity booster and chickpea flour is loaded with vitamins and minerals. How to prepare?? Add a dollop of ghee in a pan. Put in a big teaspoon of chickpea flour with a teaspoon of turmeric. Stir till the ghee starts leaving, add milk and stir. No lumps should be formed. Add sugar as per taste.
3. Mushrooms- if you and your kid aren't allergic to mushrooms, try mushroom soup. Helps in decreasing the flu effect and also increases the immunity.
