Do you know?;

Premature Babies in NICU are looking forward for Breastmilk Donors. Well, you may be one among them whom they are looking forward.

;;;;;;;;; Infants born in Pre-term gets benifitted from Breastmilk, but many of their mothers cannot provide it. Do you know why?. Let's see

A life killing Disease in Preterm infants :

;;;;;;;;;; Infants born in Pre-term are defenceless against many infections and diseases including Gastrointestinal diseases called NECTROTIZING ENTROCOLITIS. In this condition, Infant's intestines are not fully developed and finally ends up hit the skids, eventually causing lifr-threatening infections, in which it developes holes in the intestines and waste bacteria enters the intestinal track.

How to overcome this?

;;;;;;; This NECTROTIZING ENTROCOLITIS is one of the most life killer diseases in premature babies, but this can be reduced if the baby is fed with breastmilk instead of formula feeding. The chances of overcoming this disease for Breastmilk fed infants are Upward 79% than the infants who are given formula feed.

Role of Breastmilk in Preterm-Infants :

;;;;;;;;;; Breastmilk helps the infants born in Preterm in gaining adequate weigh and get adequate nutrients than the formula fed babies. Premature infants who are given breastmilk are well nourished than the infants who are give formula feed.

Hence, Breastmilk cuts the premature Infant's NICU stays into half.

Why Do they Look for Donor? Why can't the mother Breastfeed?

;;;;;;;;;;;;; Most of the mothers who give birth to a premature baby cannot have adequate milk supply and still looking for a Donor. The stress and depression of having their infant in NICU and that she has given birth to a pre-term baby will ultimately affect her ability to secrete breastmilk. Hence it affects her milk supply and still the baby undergoes artificial feeding or Breastmilk Donors. If you are a nursing mother, you may be one among the people who can save infants lives who are in such a pathetic situation. I request every mom/ nursing mother to donate or suggest some one to donate their breastmilk atleast once in your Breastfeeding journey. Donating food / blood may be the best of Donations. But Donating breastmilk is something beyond and saves the lives of some little champions and paves the way for them to survive in this Universe. As a mother i bring my son to the Nearby Govt. Hospital's NICU and as him to handover the packets of brestmilk to the person In charge of the respective NICU's.

I Hope at least any one of the readers will do this at least one in their lifetime.

U can buy some Breastmilk storage bags from the market. If u have a breast pump u can use it to express the breastmilk else buy a manual pump. However hand expressing won't help u to express breastmilk.
Pour the expressed breastmilk into a breastmilk storage bag and let it come down to the room temperature and freeze it. U can keep it even for some months. If u wish to donate it again u can use another packet and collect breastmilk.
This is to be taken in an ice box or any other ordinary box with ice packs to the nearby govt hospital or government head hospital in ur city. They have milk bank and accept ur breastmilk. A small screening test will be taken.

Thank u mommies.. Pls share this post in whattsapp / Facebook.. As it would save lives of numerous newborns....

Nice post helpful 👏👏
