I'm 24 weeks pregnant and suffering from hypothyroid. Although my thyroid levels are under control now. It's 2.5.

Currently having thyrox 75 mg dosage daily. My weight is 81 kg. I'm worried about my increased and ever increasing weight. I used to be a always fit and fine slim and a go getter and do it all myself. But now my heavy body does not let me even walk a little or do little chores like climb to the other end of the bed. I'm depressed. I need some guidance on how to tackle this and reduce weight or how to wait till the right time comes to reduce weight.

at the start of pregnancy I was around 68

my thyroid problem was detected just at the time of pregnancy test positive. actually that was I who insisted for thyroid test to the doctor cz for past 6 months my weight was increasing despite low calorie diet.

12 to 15 kg weight gain is gud

i was 75first and 90 in d last month.dont giv up ,its difficult not impossible u shud go for walks consult your doctor for this issue again n keep a check on your thyroid dats very imp

yup.. actually I sensed the problem before pregnancy. she were to suggest the test with others a month later with other tests..

Pl be in touch with a good endocrinologist also.. I was consulting both gync n endo in my pregnancy.

hi kanika am also suffered the same problem during my pregnancy. Beginning of my pregnancy am 64kgs at last 85kgs and after my delivery 75kgs. so don't worry just enjoy your pregnancy.. feel free bcoz your streets disturb the fetal... try to keep always smile n relax. It's a wonderful moments for every women.. so plzzzz don't worry

It may be hard to walk .. but you should walk at least 2-3 km daily.. before you sleep ... if you continue for few days you can increase it upto 5-6 km.. i just say dont give up ... take regular diet and avoid too much of fat ....

hey try pranayam...the ones that are allowed during pregnancy. I got my thyroid under control during pregnancy by yoga and diet control.

hey Kanika, don't take stress as that too leads to increase in thyroid n weight gain, enjoy ur pregnancy with Lil control on diet n keep walking, this will also help u during delivery and deal with ur weight post delivery.

also there r certain kind of food items which generally a person having thyroid have to avoid like cabbage, cauliflower, sprouts.... but some doc say as u r having medicine u can have them so just consult with ur endo. don't worry, just chill

hi ,Dont worry gaining 10 to 15 kgs is ok during entire pregnancy. eat healthy food and eat every 2 hrs. i was too around 68 kg at the start of pregnancy and end up around 80 kg i was having hypothyroidism since 2 yrs and during pregnancy i was suggested to take 75mg of thyronium med .so chill and eat healthy food.
