Dhadpe Pohe


Thin pressed rice (patle pohe) 2 1/2 cups

Oil 2 tablespoons

Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon

Green chilli chopped 1

Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

Medium onion finely chopped 1

Methkut 2 teaspoons

Salt to taste

Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tablespoons

Fresh coconut scraped 2 tablespoons

Curd chilli fried 1


1) Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add asafoetida, green chilli and turmeric powder and sauté.

2) Take poha in a large bowl. Add onions, methkut, salt, sugar, lemon juice, coriander leaves, coconut and the prepared tempering. Mix well.

3) Cover and let it rest for 20-25 minutes.

4) Crumble the curd chilli and add to the poha mixture and mix well.

5) Serve.
