Peanuts have more protein than any nut. Protein is essential for growing children. In fact, peanuts are a Superfood offering more than 30 essential vitamins and nutrients. Peanut butter also serves as a great vehicle for other foods.
PEANUT BUTTER :
When paired with baby carrots, celery, apple and pear slices, peanut butter can encourage kids to try foods they might otherwise avoid. Peanut butter adds protein and mostly good fats, which also help the body absorb fat soluble vitamins.
Lets try Peanut Butter at home.
1) 2 1/2; cup full of roasted peeled peanut
2) 1 tablespoon of oil
3) 2 teaspoons of honey
4) A pinch of salt
1) Add half a cup of roasted peanuts into a mixer grinder and pulse it coarsely.( Keep it aside)
2); Add the remaining 2 cup full of peanuts and grind smoothly. (peanuts themselves have oil content and you may see it getting seperated while grinding).
3) Add 1 tablespoon of oil
4)Add 2 teaspoons of honey
5) A pinch of salt
6) Now grind everything smoothly.
( U can now see a smooth buttery consistency. Remember we never add water to this recipe.)
7) Now add the coarsely grounded peanuts to this and give 2 pulses. (do not grind smoothly)
Now your yummy recipe is ready.
U can add this with bread, apples etc..
Try this and share your experiences mommies. Now throw away those canned peanut butter with added color, preservatives and chemicals. Switch on to the homemade peanut butter.
