Now that the schools are reopening, we mums tend to have morning kitchen blues . To avoid having a rushed morning I plan my breakfast menu in advance . Here are the few breakfast options with recipes ————————————————Hyderabadi dal

Moong dal cheela

Cream toast

Rava dhokla

Spinach cheese toast

🍲HYDERABADI MOONG DAL

Wash and Soak yellow split dal (moong yellow dal) for 15-20 mins . Add salt and take 4-5 whistles in a pressure cooker (should be fully mashed /soft)

For tempering : heat ghee , add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds and grate little ginger (optional )

Serve dal in a bowl , add tadka and top it with butter and squeeze lemon

🍲MOONG DAL CHEELA

Soak split green dal over night or 8 hours . Wash and grind ( you can add water depending on the consistency, shouldn’t be too watery ) , keep aside . Add salt , grated ginger (to taste ) chopped onions (optional), red chilli powder , chopped coriander .

Heat pan , grease and take a ladle of batter and pour it in the center. Quickly spread it to a round cheela. Use ghee when flipping . Serve with mint chutney

🍲CREAM TOAST

Take two slices of Multi grain bread and spread fresh cream (Malaai) and little salt in between the two slices (like a Sandwich). Heat pan , grease with butter or ghee and put the sandwich and toast it both sides .

Serve with mayonnaise

🍲RAVA DHOKLA

Two cups of rava and 1/2 cup curd, mix well (add water if req ) and keep aside for 10 minutes . Add salt and pinch of eno . Grease the steamer /dhokla plate and pour the batter . Let it steam for 20 mins . Once done serve with mint chutney

🍲SPINACH CHEESE TOAST

Take handful spinach leaves , wash and boil for 3-4 minutes . Once cool- blend like a paste and set aside .

Heat pan , add 1 tbsp butter , add 1 tsp wheat flour , add half cup milk and stir , once you see its boiling add the spinach paste and keep stirring . Add salt and 1tsp sugar , mix herbs . Keep aside to cool .

Put the spinach sauce on the multi grain bread , grate cheddar or Amul cheese and put it in the oven for 15 mins . Once done serve with ketch up (or chili sauce for adults ) #kidsrecipes #babychakra #toddlers #BBCreatorsClub
