This is a traditional hallwa, with the use of dry ginger and ajwain, both are known to facilitate digestion and aid lactation.
What you need?
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup pure pure ghee
1/2 cup jaggery
1/2 tsp powdered ajwain
1/4 tsp dry ginger powder
Dry fruits of your choice for garnishing
1.Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan. Add flour and roast it on medium flame until it turns golden brown and ghee starts to separate.
2. Now add in powdered ajwain seeds and dry ginger (saunth). Stir the mixture for a few minutes. Add jaggery and mix well.
3. Pour water and stir the mixture. Cook till it thickens in consistency.
