I know this is a really tough subject to talk about.
But let’s face it.
In today’s world where we come across news on child abuse and molestation every other day, it’s essential that we empower our children with the right knowledge before it’s too late.
⭐Ways to teach your child about Good Touch & Bad Touch:
1️⃣ Tell them your Body is your Property -
Kids as young as two years of age understand that certain body parts are private. We should tell them the same. Parents can avoid the mushy ‘this is a pee-pee’ talk sometimes and tell them the importance of their body parts.Your body is your property!
You need to tell them that their body is their private property. Teach your child that they are also not allowed to touch anyone else without the other person’s consent as it is equally important to be good as it is to be protective.
2️⃣ Don't Force any Kind of Touch.
3️⃣ Use the Proper Words for Body Parts -
If you teach children the proper names and tell them these are the doctor words for these parts, it will strengthen their ability to communicate about these topic.
4️⃣ Talk about Good touch v/s Bad Touch -
You can tell your kids about different kinds of touches, Safe (Good)Touches feel Caring , like pat's on the back or wanted hugs. Unsafe (Bad)Touches hurt your body or feelings, such as pinching or hitting. Children should know it's okay to say no even if it's a Family member or Friend.
6️⃣ Don't Avoid the Topic and Keep it in right tone -
Parents may avoid the topic because they think that their children are too young and the subject might be scary but there are ways to bring it up in normal conservation.
💟 It's a request to all Parents , don't hesitate to speak to your child about this , We are the Best people to give them the right knowledge and to make them feel comfortable about discussing them with Us. #Parenting #personaldevelopment #childdevelopment #parenthood #childabuse #childabuseawareness #goodvalues #strongmom #childprotection
