It is said that c section recovery takes time and one must start exercise only after 6 months of delivery.

Though I may not be in perfect shape but sharing my journey of weight loss after C section delivery with you all.

I had become a couch potato while I was pregnant and had gained good 18 kgs out of which I lost about 4 kgs in the delivery process.

Honestly, either exclusive breastfeeding or home-cooked food didn't help me lose the weight I had put on. Rather those pinnis and panjiri helped me put some weight on. Which is essential too I believe, so I didn't care about the diet till 1 year.

Coming to the workout regime-

After 3 months of sitting and just waiting to lose weight, I decided to go for swimming.

Swimming is considered the lightest and low impact activity. You can start after about 4 weeks in normal and about 6 weeks in case of C-Section delivery. But it is very important your incision is healed and you take prior approval of your doctor before you jump into a pool.

I lost about 2 kgs in 2 months but more than weight loss, I was much active, felt my body had become lighter and my endurance was better to handle my little monkey.

At about the 6th month after delivery, when winters began, I switched to light aerobics with mat exercise. My aerobics instructior gave me full liberty to choose my exercises for the very first month. I was allowed to do as much as my body allows. After a month, I was as good as any other person in the class, and then she started to push me further. I did heavy intensity aerobics and bhangra (If you know me, you know my passion for bhangra, which made me love my fitness routine). In those 4 months, I lost about 2-3 kgs. (Without following any diet)

Then due to a busy schedule and joining back office, I couldn't bother to shed some weight rather put on some 4-5 kgs again.

After two and a half years of delivery, now I have decided to get back to the original shape.

I am doing light exercise for about 30-40 mins (mostly bhangra, aerobics, or cardio) 4 times a week.

Plus I am controlling my Carbs intake and taking enough protein to speed up my metabolism. Only these 2-3 things have lead me to lose 5 kgs in 2 months. And the process is still on.

⭐Always remember regardless of whenever you are starting and whatever exercise you are doing, listen to your body, and do as much as you feel comfortable.

⭐Go slow, increase the intensity of the workout slowly and steadily.

⭐Do what you like- I have an inclination towards bhangra that makes me love my workout, find what you like so you don't miss working out.

⭐It is said that a woman's body loses nutrients of 3 years in a pregnancy and feeding period. Don't start dieting for the first year. Have enough nutrients to let your body recover.

⭐Always take the advice of a doctor before starting and in case you face any issue.

I Will be back soon with the diet I am following. #wittymommytales #themumsworld
