Being a mom is the most beautiful thing in this world but it comes with a lot of responsibilities. These responsibilities make you forget your own self and bottling up the need to identify yourself may hurt you later and bring negativity and a lot of mental mess. The concept of me-time was not very popular years back, however, we could not deny the fact that women's lives are more hectic presently than it has ever been. More women are trying to balance between a career, relationships, a family, a household, friends, and other things.

This fact is not hidden that moms never prioritize themselves, and neglect personal choices, desires and needs. As a mom, it becomes increasingly difficult to find time to do things for yourself and that too just for yourself. The process of 'finding' time will never be a success because the only solution is to take some time for yourself out of that mommy schedule.

Now, let us see why this me-time is so important for moms?

You were something before you were a mom:

To some of you it might feel like, motherhood is a selfless act then how can a mother think of herself. Being a mom is an incredible and selfless job but it's not something that should define you. Before you were a mom, you were someone else, a woman with ambitions, goals, dreams and what not! The real you can raise a strong kid and can contribute differently to the world. As it is said rightly, you have to love yourself first to love somebody else, this stands absolutely true in this case too.

Clarity and Peace of Mind:

Motherhood can bring a lot of incidences where you will have to take some crucial decisions and judgement calls. And some activities to relax just by yourself will allow you to think clearly and detangle your thoughts. It takes great peace to do things successfully every single day being a mom, so, a bit of a me-time can help reduce stress and can bring your peace back.

Be an example as a Mom:

Babies will eventually grow and they will no longer be your little kid. Then the most missed thing will your life before having a baby. Kids always watch their mothers and learn from them. They learn by example and looking at you fulfilling your dreams, take care of yourself, they will learn to do the same. It will teach them to concentrate on things they have and express gratitude.

Taking out time for yourself is vital during all phases of life. And having that little "me time", will still make you an amazing mom :)
