Strength can be a very specific talent or an ability to outperform a particular skill. Some examples of this can be the ability to compute numbers, draw in perspective, play a musical instrument, or run fast. We must understand, not just a talent but it can also be a positive personality trait that a child has in abundance. All these strengths play a very important role in shaping our child's personality.
Our kid's strengths play a really big role in helping them build their talents and the life they want to live when they grow up. As parents, it is very important for you to be familiar with the language of strengths and come up with a framework for seeing them.
You can use these 3 steps to unearth and identify kid's strengths:
1. Identify the qualities or activity that your kid outperforms.
2. Encourage your kid to do the same activity and observe.
3. Speak to him and enhance if you feel it can become your kid's core strength.
