Your brain is foggy because you haven’t slept in a couple of weeks.
You will probably feel like you’re doing it all wrong.
Who are you to think you can take care of yourself AND someone else?
Will you be a good mom to them?
Will they love you as much as you love them?
Do you love them enough?
Is this what it’s supposed to feel like?
Why aren’t you ecstatic right now?Why doesn’t everything feel magical?
“Am I okay?” you may think.
“Am I cut out for this?” and to that I say: you are exactly where you’re supposed to be right now.
And so is your body.
Take a deep breath. In and out.
I promise, you are going to be okay.
You are going to feel at home in your body again. And you are exactly the parent your baby needs.
Even if it’s hard to believe right now, you are doing so much better than you think and you are so very loved.
